Since not everybody patents their inventive solutions we also dig through
academic and trade journals, conference proceedings and popular media
looking for ‘breakthrough’ ideas.

Our aim is to feed the same technical databases that have grown
from the patent database analysis.

Additionally, where a domain is generating considerable amounts of new
knowledge (e.g. bio-chemistry, nano- technology and quantum mechanics)
we have links with universities and other academic institutions to ensure we
have the best possible insight into the emerging world.
