Measurement
One of the reasons so many innovation attempts go wrong is because the demands of the project are beyond the innate capabilities of the organisation.
Before embarking on any kind of new attempt, we believe it is sensible to measure the prevailing capability of each constituent part of the project.
Over the course of the last eight years, we have been working with the cream of the world’s universities, organisations, financial institutions and government agencies to identify the critical metrics that will come to determine the success or otherwise of an innovation project.
The measurement tools work on a number of different levels.
At the highest level is the Innovation Capability Maturity Model (ICMM).
This is first and foremost a globally recognised means of measuring capability.
Once calibrated, it becomes an education offering that assists organisations in making the journey from their current Level of capability to the Level they need to attain in order to deliver their desired innovation outcomes.
At a more detailed level, there are also tools and scans to measure individual specific aspects of the innovation story:
Innovation Scan
Creativity Scan
Change State Indicator
Thinking-Styles Indicator
Health Scan
